Popple Swamp
Defined by its linear profile and blackened wood exterior, Field House is an exploration of proportion and materiality. Floor-to-ceiling glazing punctuates the structure, creating a deliberate rhythm while connecting interior spaces to the open meadow beyond.
From the outset, the concept was guided by a dialogue between openness and enclosure, with glazing and volume carefully calibrated to the site’s orientation and views. The result is a residence that feels both rooted in the landscape and resolutely modern in expression.
